You're a Hoot!

This was such a fun card to make, and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I hope the recipient will like it as well. I made it just for her!! I've really liked the "tree trunk" background stamp ever since I saw it on Jennifer Pebbles blog. Of course I had to go purchase one, and I knew I could incorporate it with a lot of the "bird" stamps that I have right now. Jennifer has made several different cards on her blog using this stamp as a background. I actually played around with it a bit once I got to stamping it on paper. The leaves were an after thought, and I'm glad that I added them. It sort of gives it a Fall feel to it.

Penguin Sunday

I don't have any new cards to share, so I thought I would share a few Memory Box Penguin cards that I made over the summer. I just have a thing for these little guys, they are so cute, & very easy to whip out a simple card with them. I have purchased some of the new penguins from the fall/holiday release & I hope to make some cards with them soon.

TCP Swap Sneak Peak - Last Day of Summer

This is a card I made for a The Cat's Pajama's swap I'm participating hosted by Katie. Yes, I'm finally getting them in the mail today. I chose not to use one of the new images and instead & use one of my Summer-y images. I realize today is the last day of summer, but Sprinkle is so cute in the pool. I made a joy fold design which is held together by the ribbon. You can find a tutorial for the joy fold card on The Cat's Pajama's webpage this month. I left the inside blank so there would be more room for a short note. I used really bright colors...but I think it turned out fun. I really like pink & orange together, and I think I read on Katie's blog that she likes this color combo as well, so I thought I she would like the colors...at least I hope she does :). I hope everyone has a MARVELOUS weekend!
Card Info: Misc. Solid Colored Card Stock; Patterned Card Stock by Making Memories; All Images/Sentiment by The Cat's Pajama's; Derwent Watercolor Pencils; Stickles; Ribbon is from JoAnn's, Ink is Palette Noir.

Holiday ATC #3

This is kind of funny. This ATC was the quickest for me to create, and I think it's my favorite of the three. Again, the photo is not the best. I have trouble getting the correct lighting, without shadows, etc. I think I need one of those photo light boxes. In the top photo, the stickles glue looks like snowballs for some reason. I think the bottom photo shows it a little better. Yes, it does sparkle more in person. I used a micro dot A Muse twinkle sticker on the nose. I used the clear stardust pen on the reindeer. The reindeer & sentiment are stamped in a chocolate brown. The card stock in between the white & red is also chocolate brown. It looks black in this picture. I used a couple of my "classic" A Muse stamps for this ATC swap since we are following a "holiday" theme and I thought a lot of people may be using the newer stamps and I still appreciate the ones that have been around awhile.

Holiday ATC #2

Here is my 2nd ATC for the holiday swap I am participating in. Now that I'm looking at the colors, they are very much like my other ATC. I must be in the purple/green mood. My last ATC for this swap will be very different in color...I promise! I couldn't seem to get a good photo of this. I used the clear stardust pen on the mittens, but it doesn't really show on this picture. I actually have two more to finish...I ran out of ribbon, so I need to go pick some more up tomorrow.

Card info: Patterned card stock by Lasting Impressions; solid card stock by Georgia Pacific & misc.; Mitten Image & sentiment by A Muse Artstamps; Derwent Watercolor Pencils (I'm desperate for some Copic markers!); Blender Pen; Clear Stardust Pen; Ribbon???

Holiday ATC time

This is an ATC for a holiday swap I am participating in. I'm not sure if I'm completely satisfied with how it turned out. I couldn't get the background color behind the ornaments stamp quite the shade I was desiring. It also has a lot more sparkle IRL.

For those of you that participate in ATC swaps, I would love to hear what you do with your ATC's after you receive them. I display mine in an album with in these pages. I would love to hear what others do with theirs. Please share your stories.
